Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Syna³ ("Syna", "we", "us") is a personal day-planning application that schedules your tasks into your calendar's free time, records and summarizes your meetings, and keeps a calm home for your notes and documents. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us at [email protected].

1. Information we collect

2. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content or Google data to serve advertising.

3. Google user data

When you choose to connect a Google account, Syna requests the following access, and uses it only to provide features you have enabled:

You can connect more than one Google account (subject to your plan) and disconnect any of them at any time from Settings, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. We store the access token (a "refresh token") encrypted at rest, and it is only ever decrypted to make requests on your behalf.

Limited Use. Syna³'s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide or improve the user-facing features you use (or where required by law), and we do not allow humans to read this data except with your explicit consent, for security or debugging, to comply with the law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

4. Meetings and the notetaker

If you send Syna's notetaker to a meeting, or record a meeting on-device, we process the audio to produce a transcript and an AI-generated summary, and we may extract action items into tasks. Recordings and transcripts are stored with your account and can be deleted at any time. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from meeting participants before recording, as required by the laws that apply to you and them.

5. AI processing

To generate summaries, plans, and action items, we send the relevant content (for example, a meeting transcript or your task list) to AI providers that process it on our behalf — currently Anthropic, OpenAI, and Groq. These providers act as our processors and, under their API terms, do not use content submitted through their APIs to train their models. For all current plans, this processing runs under Velluma's own provider accounts. A small number of legacy accounts (a formerly offered plan, no longer sold) supply their own AI provider keys; for those accounts, AI processing runs under their own provider agreements instead.

6. Who we share data with (subprocessors)

We share data only with service providers that help us run Syna, each handling only what they need to:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Syna and its users.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account — and all of its data, including tasks, notes, documents, meeting transcripts, stored keys, and connected-account tokens — at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible, and cancels any active subscription. You can also disconnect an individual Google account without deleting your Syna account.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive values such as Google refresh tokens and stored API keys, and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

9. Your choices and rights

10. Children

Syna is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. International users

Our public marketing pages (the landing, sign-up and setup pages) use Google Analytics to measure where visitors come from; the app itself — your planner, calendar, notes and chats — is not tracked by any third-party analytics. Syna³ is a Velluma product. It is operated from, and processes data in, the United States. By using Syna you understand that your information will be processed there.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
