Terms of Service

Last updated: July 24, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Syna³ ("Syna", "we", "us"), a personal day-planning application operated by Velluma — Syna³ is a Velluma product. By creating an account or using Syna, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Syna. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these Terms.

1. Who can use Syna

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use Syna on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. One person or entity per account unless we agree otherwise.

3. The service

Syna schedules your tasks into your calendar's free time, can record and summarize your meetings, and stores your notes and documents. Features depend on your plan and on connected third-party services (such as Google Calendar). We may add, change, or remove features, and we aim to give reasonable notice of material changes.

4. Plans, billing, and cancellation

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the tasks, notes, documents, transcripts, and other content you put into Syna ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you — including sending it to the processors described in our Privacy Policy to generate summaries and plans. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to use it.

7. Meetings and recording

If you use the notetaker or record a meeting, you are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required from the participants under the laws that apply to you and them. You agree not to record where doing so would be unlawful.

8. Third-party services

Syna integrates with services like Google, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, Recall.ai, and Resend. Your use of those integrations is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services. Connecting a Google account is governed additionally by Google's terms, and you can disconnect at any time.

9. AI-generated content

Syna uses AI to generate summaries, plans, and suggested action items. This output can be incomplete or inaccurate and is provided for your convenience only. It is not professional, legal, financial, or other expert advice. Review important items yourself before relying on them.

10. Intellectual property

Syna, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any right to our name or marks. We welcome feedback, and you agree we may use it without obligation to you.

11. Termination

You can stop using Syna and delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is permanent and cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as §6 license, §9, §12, §13, and §14) will survive.

12. Disclaimers

Syna is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scheduling or AI output will be accurate. You are responsible for maintaining your own records of anything important.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Syna and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or USD 50 if you paid nothing).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of Syna, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right — including any claim relating to recording a meeting without required consent.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Syna's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute not subject to informal resolution.
